Role Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Firmware Developer to spearhead our firmware division. This role is vital in the creation, enhancement, and upkeep of our firmware, which is integral to our fleet management solutions. If you possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in C++ and C#, embedded Linux, and a commitment to producing high-quality, scalable, and reliable firmware, we would like to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide the firmware development team, offering mentorship and support to junior engineers.
  • Design, improve, and sustain firmware utilizing C++ and C#.
  • Proactively identify and implement enhancements to the firmware.
  • Oversee version control and ensure effective CI/CD pipelines and testing protocols are established.
  • Engage with CAN bus and serial connectors extensively.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee seamless firmware integration with other system components.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in firmware development to continually elevate the quality and performance of our offerings.
  • Acquire field experience and engage in CAN bus development outside of the vehicle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in firmware development.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and C#.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with embedded Linux.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing and mentoring a development team.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of CAN bus and serial connectors.
  • A proactive mindset towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Solid grasp of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be based in the US and open to travel.
