Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate House Supervisor to join our team at Memorial Hospital Union County. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency during evening and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care across different levels of care during evening and night shifts.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Executive, nursing managers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Serve as a liaison for nursing managers and Nurse Executive during off shifts, facilitating communication and operational continuity.
  • Provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing duties as necessary to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of direct and indirect patient care on hospital forms within established timeframes.
  • Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through participation in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Accept accountability for professional practice and ongoing development.
  • Stay updated on current nursing practice standards and hospital policies/procedures.
  • Uphold a positive professional image through exemplary appearance and behavior.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN registration in the State of Ohio.
  • Preferably holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Willing to meet continuing education requirements (24-contact hours every two years).
  • Maintains continuous certification in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Attains and maintains certifications in ACLS, PALS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and De-escalation within six months of employment.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Exhibits strong leadership qualities with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Shows commitment to patient-centered care and improving clinical outcomes.
  • Adheres to ethical principles and professional standards of nursing practice.
