Electrical Engineer

Dashiell is a leading national provider of technical services to the electric utility, power generation, industrial, renewable, and energy industries.
The company offers a range of services, including planning and systems studies, design and engineering, maintenance and testing, program management, construction, and turnkey EPC projects.
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a project team responsible for performing engineering and design duties, applying engineering principles, and working closely with supervisors to further develop your job knowledge and abilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating design documents and drawings for projects, including wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and field mark-ups of project as-built drawings.
- Performing engineering support tasks, such as relay burden, lighting, simplified load flow, and short circuit calculations.
- Learning and applying engineering application software to complete tasks, such as ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and load flow and short circuit studies.
- Meeting engineering and design effort project schedule requirements and learning and applying corporate standard engineering practices.
- Spending time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and additional training in substation construction and design.
- Taking personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work and bringing potential project-related problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible party.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, with a power focus preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain EIT certificate within one year of date of hire.
- Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.
