As a Field Design Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating advanced technologies in real-world scenarios. Your role will involve:
- Executing tests on innovative Cellular, Wireless, Bluetooth, and SATCOM systems in practical environments.
- Analyzing logs and diagnosing issues to guarantee optimal performance.
- Traveling to various testing sites within a short distance from the lab.
- Participating in field operations for up to four days a week, with one day allocated for laboratory tasks.
- Utilizing provided transportation and security during field assignments.
- Engaging in outdoor assessments during peak seasons to periodically review cellular technologies.
- Exhibiting strong technical troubleshooting skills and exercising sound judgment.
- Applying excellent communication abilities and maintaining a keen attention to detail while working independently.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-4 years of practical experience in comprehensive testing of Cellular, Wireless, Satellite, or Bluetooth technologies.
- Experience in both field and laboratory evaluations of Cellular, SATCOM, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth systems.
- Capability to conduct tests in urban and outdoor environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills complemented by analytical proficiency.
- Willingness to transition from laboratory-focused roles to field testing opportunities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with programming languages, especially Python.
Work Location: Onsite work is required.
Engagement Duration: Minimum commitment of 12 months.
Compensation: $50-$60 per hour, commensurate with experience.
