Responsibilities
  • Prepare and portion therapeutic diets for the skilled nursing tray line in accordance with physician orders and posted menus.
  • Assist with the set-up of the assisted living restaurant-style dining room prior to meal service.
  • Take resident meal orders in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the nutrition services team to ensure seamless meal service.
Requirements
  • Strong desire to work with and have empathy for the elderly.
  • Excellent customer service and listening skills.
  • Be reliable, organized, and a team player.
  • Food handler card (obtainable through community).
  • Six months' experience as a diet aide or diet clerk in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required.
