Space Systems Analyst

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Space Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Systems Performance, Estimation, and Algorithms Department (SPEAD), you will provide analytical support, algorithm development, systems engineering, and architecting for space surveillance systems, space protection, and space threat susceptibility.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tracking algorithms for space surveillance systems
- Provide systems engineering and architecting support for space protection and space threat susceptibility
- Collaborate with government customers and Aerospace program office personnel to develop and implement system solutions
- Conduct system analysis and optimization to ensure effective system performance
- Develop and maintain computer tools and simulations to support system analysis and evaluation
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, electrical or aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering analysis of space surveillance systems, including system-of-systems architectures, system and sensor level evaluation, and simulation
- Experience with EO/IR system design trade studies, technology insertion, and requirements definition
- Fluent in at least one programming language, including C++, Python, C, Java, or MATLAB
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with high-level government, Aerospace, and contractor personnel
- Advanced technical degree in mathematics, electrical or aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, or equivalent
- Experience with mission processing and/or mission evaluation algorithms, including target detection, clutter suppression, and multi-target tracking
- Current TS/SCI clearance
