About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our AWS Security team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing innovative security solutions to protect our customers' data and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secure cloud-based applications and services to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure software components using a variety of programming languages and technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to security best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
