Mass General Brigham, a leading healthcare provider in Massachusetts, is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Specialist to join their team as an Evening Charge RN. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to provide exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that requires 40 hours of work per week, with 8-hour evening shifts. As a Psychiatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing nursing care and leadership to patients on your assigned unit.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing and be able to assess patient needs, develop effective care plans, and provide education to patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • No experience required, one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills required, with ability to use electronic medical records system
