Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Martin Brower. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department and contributing to the development of our company's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve on-time dispatches, off-load rates, labor costs, and product loss and damage
  • Ensure a safe working environment by executing company processes successfully
  • Assist in developing the daily operating plan, including equipment maintenance and driver work schedules, to meet or exceed customer delivery needs
  • Promptly solve problems to the maximum satisfaction of our customers
  • Provide development and training to supervisory and driver staff
  • Lead various committees, such as quality and safety
  • Partner with human resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout the year

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree with 3 to 4 years of related experience and 0 to 1 year of supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma with 5 years of specific experience and 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
