Cortica is seeking a skilled Behavior Therapist to join its team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Develop and implement positive behavior strategies as developed and analyzed with the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Work in various settings, including homes, communities, schools, and clinics, providing direct behavior-analytic care as determined in the child's assessment and treatment plan.
  • Document all interactions, including session notes and data collection, to ensure accurate tracking of progress.
  • Collaborate with families and supervisors to establish a supportive environment for treatment and education.
  • Follow Cortica's crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably those with autism.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field or related field; relevant work experience or students enrolled in undergraduate studies will be considered.
  • Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification or willingness to obtain BCAT credential via Cortica's training program within 45 days.
  • Availability to work some days, late afternoons, and evenings.
  • Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.

Base direct pay range for this opening is $23.99 to $31.00, with indirect pay of $19.36 per hour. For certain designated clients based in San Francisco, a pay differential may apply.
