As a Travel Claims Specialist, you will be the initial point of contact for claims reporting and will initiate the claims process. This pivotal role within our Travel department is essential for delivering exceptional service to our claimants and callers. Your independent judgment and communication skills will be vital in gathering information, assessing coverage, and conveying this information to claimants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage travel claims in accordance with relevant policies.
  • Analyze and interpret various business documents, technical procedures, benefit plans, and regulations.
  • Professionally handle incoming and outgoing communications with claimants and suppliers.
  • Consistently achieve established performance metrics, including both quantity and quality of claims processing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable plans and effectively apply this knowledge in claims processing and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with claims processing and related business software.
  • Ability to perform calculations related to depreciation and interest.
