Position Overview:

Digital Prospectors is in search of a qualified Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to enhance our team. As a prominent entity in advanced wound care and surgical biologics, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards in IT governance, compliance, risk management, and data protection. The Head of GRC will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates and industry benchmarks while spearheading strategic initiatives to bolster our security and compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute strategies for IT governance, compliance, risk management, and data protection.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address compliance requirements, audits, and governance issues.
  • Regularly update and maintain Information Security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee SOX audits and liaise with audit partners.
  • Enhance incident response capabilities through comprehensive Risk Management exercises.
  • Advance security program maturity metrics and align initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • Design and implement security, privacy, and risk assessment frameworks.
  • Evaluate and manage security and compliance across systems and vendor partnerships.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of controls and contribute to business continuity strategies.
  • Conduct regular assessments to guarantee ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, and compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting and executing IT governance, compliance, and risk management strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of information security policies, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong familiarity with pertinent regulations, including SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and industry standards.
  • Experience guiding an organization through HITRUST CSF or ISO 27001 readiness, achieving and maintaining certification.
  • Proficient in responding to and/or collaborating with SOC-1, SOC-2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and audit assessment reports.
  • A collaborative team player with robust leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and manage teams.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to travel for onsite leadership meetings periodically.
