KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Rosebud Hospital in Rosebud, South Dakota. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients in our rural community.
Responsibilities- Interview and examine patients, reviewing past medical history and requesting diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Provide definitive management and full-spectrum family ambulatory practice in all medical categories.
- Review patient medications, diet, therapy course, and adherence to management plans.
- Modify treatment regimens as indicated and instruct patients and family members in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Refer patients to contracted medical facilities, providing full clinical information for care and diagnostic procedures.
- Assure preparation of medical records for all patients seen, ensuring the accumulation and organization of pertinent clinical data.
- Work closely with allied professionals to advise and coordinate services.
- Provide prenatal care to expected patients in the first and second trimester.
- Divide pediatric care from newborn to adulthood, familiar with growth, development, disease states, and unique status of pediatric patients.
- Participate in pre-visit planning, coordination of care, and clinic improvement activities.
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Minimum of six months' experience.
- Completion of a minimum of a master's degree in physician assistant studies.
- Active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action license as a nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
