About the Role

This position is a crucial part of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality medical services within their scope of practice. The Medical Services Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting NCDPS Hurricane Support on-site emergency and disaster efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team to provide support services within their scope of practice.
  • Assist sheltered individuals with coordinating pharmaceutical and dialysis services outside the SCRS.
  • Schedule and track dialysis appointments.
  • Coordinate with the Telemedicine Coordinator to obtain patient prescription needs.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Lead on daily dialysis needs.
  • Work with the Medical Support & Transportation unit to arrange medical transportation for scheduled services.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of quality assurance experience.
  • A strong understanding of government contracting is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
Physical Demands
  • The position requires standing, walking, or sitting for periods of up to 12 hours each day.
  • The ability to work in an indoor or outdoor environment.
