Job Summary:

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patients/families, nurse and healthcare delivery teams.
  • Consistently provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic/systematic way while incorporating differences into the provision of care and conducting all patient care in a patient/family centered manner.
  • Integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum, to include patient and family education.
  • Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
  • Determine processes for delivery of care from direct patient/family communication, technology and other healthcare team member collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
  • Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required and ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months).
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
