At MCR Hotels, we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Houseperson to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
About the Job
The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel, ensuring that all areas are presented in an attractive and welcoming manner. As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining public spaces, back-of-house areas, and guest rooms, as well as assisting with laundry and linen services.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain public spaces, including hallways, stairwells, service areas, and ice rooms
- Collect trash and soiled linen from housekeepers and deliver to the laundry room
- Deliver and retrieve guest requests in a timely manner
- Monitor placement and condition of public space furniture and report any issues to management
- Restock guest floor linen closets and guest amenities
- Assist housekeepers with stripping linen and trash from guest rooms as needed
- Replenish amenities and supplies in assigned guestrooms
- Stock and maintain housekeeping carts
- Treat guests and team members with a pleasant, professional, and friendly demeanor
Requirements
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Physical ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends
