Job Summary:

As a Home Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our state-supported living centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor the activities of direct support staff to ensure quality care and treatment.
  • Perform administrative and programming duties, including supervising and evaluating direct care staff.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of care, training, and support activities on the unit.
  • Attend meetings, serve on committees, and perform other specific tasks as directed by the Unit Director or Administrative Assistant.
  • Ensure the home is maintained as a safe and sanitary living environment for individuals.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to make decisions and use good judgment when dealing with critical incidents.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly in an emergency.
  • Ability to demonstrate proper body mechanics, good posture, and proper lifting techniques.
  • Knowledge of individual care techniques and of treatment, therapy, and developmental programs.
  • Knowledge of Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) standards.
