At SSM Health, we're committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and communities. As a Nurse Manager on our Rehabilitation Unit, you'll play a vital role in leading our team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for our Rehabilitation Unit.
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled nurses and healthcare professionals.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting patient care services, developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
- Monitor and manage budgets, approving or monitoring expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safety, performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Two years' registered nurse experience, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility, or one year of registered nurse experience plus one year of relevant leadership experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
Professional Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), or Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration, or Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State, or Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN), or Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
