We're seeking an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join our North Brownsville clinic in Texas as part of the Optum Care network.
About the OpportunityThis role offers a unique chance to prioritize quality over quantity, with an average of 14-16 patients per day (30 minutes per visit).
Key Highlights:- Physicians are measured and rewarded based on quality of care, not RVU or volume metrics. The target annual quality bonus is $50,000, making total compensation up to $100,000.
- You'll start with 160 hours of PTO in your first year, plus 5 days for CME, and enjoy 8 national holidays off.
- A strong clinical support team, including NPs, PAs, RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, clinic administrators, referral managers, coders, centralized scheduling, nurse advice line, and robust IT, will be available to support you.
- You'll collaborate with primary care physicians, hospitalists, and a network of employed/contracted sub-specialists to deliver high-quality patient care.
- We operate primarily as a Medicare Advantage Plan, focusing on quality/value-based outcomes.

Requirements:- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S.
- Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
- Valid DEA license.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency.
- A working understanding and support of a managed care environment.
