Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer - Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at Universal Health Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data warehousing, and business intelligence.

The Senior Software Engineer - Business Intelligence Developer will design and develop reporting assets utilizing the enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence tools to provide consistent, reliable, and automated delivery to the end user.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data discovery, analysis, and profiling of data to validate business requirements and provide inputs into functional design.
  • Design and develop data models to be used by various reporting and data discovery tools.
  • Utilize established BI data models to drive reporting standards, re-use, quality, and reporting simplification.
  • Collaborate with business units to design the structure of data solutions and plan their implementation within the team.
  • Troubleshoot and fix data loads and other issues within a data warehouse and explore new ways to present data insights to end users.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study.
  • ~5+ years of SQL programming and working with relational database experience.
  • ~5+ years of experience developing solutions with BI tools and data models.
  • ~5+ years of related managed healthcare or insurance operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with Python or other object-oriented programming language preferred.
