Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a seasoned professional to oversee and coordinate asphalt paving operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supervising and managing teams, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project schedules and updates in collaboration with the Project Manager/Estimator.
  • Schedule projects, personnel, and equipment, working closely with the dispatcher to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in project meetings with contracting agencies and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and provide guidance to team members.
  • Review and approve timecards, ensure accurate coding, and verify completion of required documentation.
  • Monitor and control costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team to provide feedback on job progress and assist with field measurements and data collection.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Travel to various job sites as required, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in asphalt paving operations, with a strong background in supervising and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including days, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
