About the Job

Pacific Rail Services is seeking a skilled Railroad Laborer to join our team at the CSX South Kearny, NJ Railyard. As a Railroad Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the railyard, including running heavy equipment and assisting with the movement of trains.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts and cranes, to move trains and equipment around the railyard.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of trains, including containers and trailers.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the railyard.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a 7-year background check and a physical capabilities test.
  • Pass a drug test.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
