Job Summary:

As a Clinical Dietitian at Hancock Regional Hospital, you will be responsible for providing nutritional programming to members, guests, and clinical patients. This role involves working with clients who have various health conditions, including pre-diabetes/diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. You will also be responsible for providing nutrition education and health coaching for general/preventative nutrition, sports performance, pre/post-natal nutrition, and weight loss/gain.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide education to clients based on their needs and wellness goals
Provide community education and have an active role in Quality Improvement
Process within the wellness center and collaborating health system departments
Relate to staff and various persons of all ages as served by the departments
Demonstrate courtesy, effectiveness, and discretion in dealing with team members, hospital and wellness center associates, patients, and the public

Requirements:

BS degree in Nutrition or Dietetics or related field
Registered with Commission of Dietetic Registration
Licensure in the State of Indiana recommended
Registered Dietitian (RD) and completion of 75 hours of continuing education in each 5-year certificate period
Certification as Diabetes Educator (CDE) highly encouraged

Additional Requirements:

Internship or similar approved program
Mandatory Annual Education
Experience and comfort in speaking before small and large groups required
Experience working with patients of various disease states desired
