Sheetmetal Journeyman

We are seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Journeyman to join our team at PremiStar. As a key member of our HVAC team, you will be responsible for manufacturing, fabricating, assembling, and installing sheetmetal components for various projects.

• Manufacture and fabricate sheetmetal components according to specifications and blueprints
• Assemble and install sheetmetal components on HVAC equipment and systems
• Measure, cut, and weld sheetmetal pieces to required dimensions
• Select and use appropriate materials for each job based on strength and durability requirements
• Connect and secure sheetmetal components using rivets, screws, and other fastening methods
• Test and balance HVAC equipment and ductwork to ensure optimal performance
• Use machinery and software applications to complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Install fabricated materials on jobsites and maintain a clean and organized workspace

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Experience with sheetmetal fabrication and installation
• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles

This role operates primarily in a warehouse or fabrication shop environment, with occasional work on jobsites. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a variety of temperatures and conditions, and will be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
