Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards.
- Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding.
- Administer and evaluate all clinical activities, including care plan development, service level determination, and complaint management.
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition.
- Advanced Life Support preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
- Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
- 5 years of experience required, with 10 years of experience preferred.
- 2 years of leadership or management experience required, with 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
