We are seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a culture of safety throughout the operation, adhering to MSHA and Vulcan standards.
- Operate plant equipment to regulate the flow of materials, control stockpile inventory, and maintain certified products.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment, documenting items in need of repair or service.
- Monitor and review plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow of materials, removing clogged materials when necessary.
- Assist with maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and minor repairs, as needed.
- Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
- A basic knowledge of the concrete, cement, or construction industry is preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours, as well as tolerate exposure to loud noises and varying weather conditions.
- Some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance is required.
