Overview
In today's world, both residential and commercial establishments prioritize safety and swift responses to potential issues. Our Planned Security Services (PSS) division is seeking courteous and professional Private Security Officers to conduct regular patrols and safety inspections, manage gatehouse security, perform mobile patrols, oversee fire watch duties, and monitor control rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security and safety patrols of premises and structures to maintain order and establish a visible security presence.
- Verify and log access credentials of residents, visitors, service providers, and deliveries to the premises.
- Ensure that all exits, doors, and windows are secure and operational.
- Monitor and review surveillance footage (CCTV) to detect disturbances or illegal activities.
- Respond to, investigate, and evaluate alerts, communications, and alarms.
- Provide security-related assistance and support to residents, visitors, and service providers as needed.
- Report unauthorized individuals, suspicious items, and any unlawful activities to the appropriate authorities.
- Prepare and submit daily surveillance and incident reports to Planned Security Services management.
- Possession of a New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license and a valid, clean driver's license.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Officer or Guard.
- Familiarity with local, regional, and state regulations regarding security and public safety.
- Strong surveillance and observational skills.
- Experience with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
- Training in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and self-defense.
- Proficient report writing and clear verbal communication abilities.
- A High School diploma is mandatory.
- Full-time employees (working 30 or more hours per week) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other ancillary benefits.
