Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team at Advanced Veterinary Specialists. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our board-certified Internists to provide exceptional care to patients with complex medical conditions.

• Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine department
• Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance on their animal's condition and treatment options
• Monitor anesthetic procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized
• Assist veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies and aspiration cytology
• Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Advocate for the well-being of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment

• Licensed as a RVT in the state of California
• High school diploma
• General understanding and experience with small animal restraint with a focus on cats and dogs
• Calm, professional demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable time management and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well independently as well as with a team
• Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology
