Job Overview

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a traveling RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various locations within Emory Healthcare, providing high-quality patient care and developing your clinical expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, dependable, and effective care to patients, utilizing the nursing process and the Synergy Model for Care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, using active listening and clear communication skills.
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner, using electronic medical records and other documentation tools.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning, ensuring patients and families are prepared for post-acute care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of 2.5 years of recent and relevant nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Family Medicine (FHM) certifications, as required by the role.
  • Professional certification in a relevant specialty area, such as Labor and Delivery or Maternal-Child Nursing, is preferred.
