Postpartum Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Postpartum team at St. David's HealthCare. As a Postpartum Austin Market Float Pool Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to new mothers and their families, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth and successful hospital experience.

• Coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned patients, conducting initial and ongoing assessments to develop individualized care plans.
• Provide family-centered patient teaching, identifying and correcting variances from the care plan, and facilitating discharge planning and teaching.
• Administer medications accurately and document patient responses to interventions.
• Float to all St. David's HealthCare System facilities, including North Austin Medical Center, Round Rock Medical Center, South Austin Medical Center, St. David's Georgetown Hospital, and St. David's Medical Center.
• Be scheduled in units in which you have competencies.

• 2 years of Postpartum nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
• Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required per St. David's HealthCare policy
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required per St. David's HealthCare policy
• NIH Stroke Certification required per St. David's HealthCare policy
• Registered Nurse, Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) - preferred
