Groundsman

We are seeking an experienced Groundsman to join our team at Joshua Tree Experts in Raleigh, NC. As a key member of our tree care crew, you will be responsible for assisting with tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and wood chipper operations.

• Assist crew with equipment and vehicle preparation daily
• Ensure safe drop zones for coworkers and the public
• Perform pruning and reducing
• Safely operate tree care operations equipment, including gas-powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers
• Load and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush, and debris
• Report to work on time each day
• Follow directions from crew leaders and climbers
• Maintain a professional image
• Provide excellent customer service
• Maintain and service equipment, as needed
• Follow safety culture and safety procedures
• Set up safety and traffic control measures for job sites

• Minimum of one year experience in Tree Care Operations
• Valid driver's license
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to work 40 hours or more each week
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions
• Excellent ability to communicate effectively
• First Aid and CPR Certified is preferred
