Job Title: Recreation/Recreational Therapist

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled Recreation/Recreational Therapist to join our team in Sherborn, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Recreation/Recreational Therapist to provide therapeutic recreation programs to patients in our care. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patient needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans to increase, maintain, or restore functions and maximize or prevent disability.
  • Implement therapeutic recreation programs to assist patients in reaching their maximum performance levels in areas of leisure education, adaptive recreation, and recreational activities.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to complete the recreational therapy plan of care and evaluate patient progress.
  • Develop and implement diversionary activity programs as needed.
  • Support patient social integration during rehabilitation stay.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation Administration, or an equivalent program.
  • Certification-eligible by the Consortium for Therapeutic Recreation/Activity Certification (CTRS) or National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or hold a Master's Degree in a related field.
  • 1 year of Recreation Therapist experience preferred.
