We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team at Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, GA. This full-time position offers two swing shift options, providing an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment that offers diverse and exciting challenges each day. You will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate care for critically ill or injured pets, working closely with experienced veterinarians and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality diagnostics and treatment.

Responsibilities
* Patient Care: Assist in physical examinations, gather medical histories, perform triage assessments, and monitor vital signs.
* Diagnostic Support: Operate advanced medical equipment, including radiology, ultrasound, and laboratory tools to assist in diagnostics.
* Emergency Care: Provide emergency and critical care for patients presenting with urgent conditions, including trauma, poisoning, and respiratory distress.
* Surgical Assistance: Prepare and assist during surgeries, including anesthetic monitoring, surgical instrument preparation, and patient recovery.
* Client Communication: Explain complex medical procedures and treatment plans to pet owners in a compassionate and clear manner.

Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years working as a trained surgery technician is essential, demonstrating competency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and basic medical mathematics for medication dosing and fluid calculations.
* Strong technical skills and proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, such as digital radiography, ultrasound, and laboratory testing tools.
