Job Location: Various locations in the Chicago area
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Position Overview:
Your role will involve closely monitoring vehicles that require repairs. You will collaborate with the Senior Auto Mechanic to gain expertise and independence in your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct test drives and evaluate vehicle components and systems.
  • Repair, replace, and adjust braking systems.
  • Review work orders and engage in discussions with supervisors.
  • Communicate with customers to gather information about vehicle issues and discuss necessary repairs.
  • Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage or malfunctions.
  • Align the front ends of vehicles.
  • Disassemble, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies, including power and steering systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes and tune-ups.
  • Utilize checklists to ensure thorough examination of all critical components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear and tear.
  • Carry out additional relevant duties as required.
