About the Role

This 42-bed Medical-Surgical Unit provides perioperative and postoperative care to medical-surgical and orthopaedic patients. Our team is dedicated to ensuring discharge readiness and patient safety, with a focus on continuous cardiac monitoring and total joint replacement care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions, administering prescribed medications and treatments as needed.
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, educating patients and their families on post-discharge care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One-year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
