POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assembler III position is designed for individuals with a higher level of expertise, playing a crucial role in the manufacturing process by constructing mechanical assemblies and executing soldering and electrical wiring tasks. The Assembler III is responsible for preparing and completing work by reviewing assembly instructions, parts lists, blueprints, and schematics to deliver the final assembled product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Job Functions:

The Assembler III will provide dependable and prompt assistance in the assembly of electro-mechanical components, including but not limited to:
  • Interpreting blueprints, assembly diagrams, and electrical/wiring schematics.
  • Following production order descriptions to assemble the final product accurately.
  • Analyzing mechanical and operational aspects of tools and equipment used in assembly.
  • Identifying and gathering necessary components for projects.
  • Adhering to verbal and written instructions from engineers and supervisors regarding process modifications.
  • Installing and assembling electrical wiring and performing soldering tasks as required.
  • Downloading necessary programs to relevant equipment.
  • Inspecting products according to engineering specifications to ensure proper assembly.
  • Troubleshooting issues, identifying problems, and communicating them to supervisors or engineering teams.
  • Recommending engineering change requests to enhance processes.
  • Documenting assembly procedures for the final product.
  • Completing additional duties as required to support the company’s objectives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role primarily requires fine motor skills for equipment calibration and may involve moving products to the Applications Department for testing. Good vision is essential for reading diagrams and executing complex wiring tasks. The position may necessitate prolonged periods of sitting or standing to assemble specific products.

  • Experience with pickhead molding processes is advantageous.
  • Conducts quality assurance checks.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the workspace and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 5 years in a related field is preferred.
Verification of recent pay may be required as a condition of employment. Candidates should be prepared to provide their most current paystub.
  • EDUCATION - A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; technical school experience is preferred.
Verification of educational credentials may be necessary as a condition of employment. Candidates should be ready to provide copies of their degree or transcripts.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This position will be performed at a workstation that may require extended periods of sitting or standing. Workstations are located on the production floor, which may occasionally expose employees to mechanical, chemical, and/or electrical hazards. Each employee is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace to minimize potential hazards. This role may require overtime to ensure the continuity of production flow.
