We are seeking highly qualified individuals to join our team as part-time, hourly adjunct instructors in the field of nursing at Kern Community College District.

The estimated salary range for this position is $60.00 to $120.00 per hour, based on the type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula.

Key Responsibilities

This position involves instructing students in nursing courses, developing curriculum, assessing student learning outcomes, and communicating effectively with students, colleagues and administrators.

Key Requirements:

  • A valid, active license as a California Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Technician
  • OR - Any Bachelor's degree in nursing and two years of professional experience
  • OR - Any Associate's degree in nursing and two years of professional experience
  • OR - The equivalent
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
