Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist I, Registry, you will be part of a dynamic team at The University of Chicago Medicine, providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role offers opportunities for program development, mentoring, and supervision of occupational therapy students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform occupational therapy services and assessments to UCM patients upon referral from a licensed practitioner.
  • Practice occupational therapy in an assigned clinical division of the Therapy Services department.
  • Work with medically complex patients and provide clinical service with opportunities for program development, mentoring, and supervision of occupational therapy students.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum of Master's degree required.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age-specific and appropriate for the types of patients served.
  • Basic computer skills to allow access to operations and patient data.
  • Appropriate interpersonal skills necessary to enable positive interactions with patients, families, team members, referral sources, and outside contacts.
  • Requires graduation from an approved occupational therapy school.
  • Requires current Occupational Therapy license in the State of Illinois.
  • Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Work Environment

This position is a 0.1 FTE, day shift, located in Hyde Park, with the Unit/Department of Occupational Therapy. The CBA Code is Non-Union.
