Key ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care, adhering to departmental standards and state regulations. Key duties include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments, including evaluation of breath sounds and airway conditions.
- Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
- Assisting in the placement of artificial airways and managing mechanical ventilation.
- Monitoring patient responses to therapies and taking appropriate actions as necessary.
- Facilitating the safe transportation of patients requiring ventilatory support.
- Responding to emergency situations to ensure airway safety and effective ventilation.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license.
- Relevant educational credentials, such as a certificate or associate degree.
- Certification as a Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
No travel is required for this position.
