The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing trends, performing product demonstrations for staff and customers, gathering feedback. In this role, you may also be tasked with facilitating training sessions, as well as assisting with new product launches.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven produce specialist to join our fantastic sales team. As a produce specialist, you must have a passion for the produce you work with and keep expanding produce knowledge. Outstanding produce specialists should have a keen eye for spotting market trends, a willingness to inspire clients, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough market research, which may include desktop analysis, sending emails, and making calls.
  2. Answer all product-related questions in a polite manner and address queries promptly.
  3. Attend meetings, food shows, and occasionally packers and local farms.
  4. Plan and assist with new product releases and events.
  5. Perform product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other executives.
  6. Assist with the development of business plans.
  7. Large responsibility seeing clients and promoting produce on behalf of our sales team.
  8. Schedule training sessions and attend meetings as required.
  9. Identify new market opportunities.
  10. Make helpful product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue.

  • A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
