Position Overview:
As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist at Kalmbach Feeds, your primary responsibility will be to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment within our production facilities. We provide competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and generous paid time off in your first year. This position requires a proactive mindset, independence, and effective teamwork across various departments.
- Repair, replace, and enhance manufacturing structures and machinery.
- Keep precise records in our computerized maintenance management system.
- Familiarity with PLC systems is advantageous.
- Capability to wear a full-face respirator and operate machinery such as tow motors and aerial lifts.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and identify mechanical, electrical, and structural problems.
- Ensure a tidy and organized workspace.
- Perform additional corrective maintenance tasks as required.
Candidate Profile:
- Must possess knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver's license with no suspensions.
- Experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLC systems.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and working in diverse weather conditions.
- A minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- GED or high school diploma is required.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
