Key Responsibilities:

1) Operate and manage Swiss CNC lathes, including programming, setup, and operation with minimal supervision.

2) Maintain high standards of quality and safety while ensuring the availability of necessary tools and materials for production.

3) Provide training and mentorship to fellow employees, fostering a collaborative work environment.

4) Execute advanced setups, including program writing and editing, while selecting appropriate tooling for various tasks.

5) Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production standards.

6) Coordinate multiple jobs and personnel effectively during daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

Essential Qualifications:

1) Minimum of one year of experience in setup, programming, and operation of Swiss CNC lathes, specifically with Star and Tsugami machines.

2) Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerances.

3) Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including speeds and feeds, tooling, and machine accessories.

4) Demonstrated leadership capabilities, setting a positive example for others in the workplace.

General Shop Responsibilities:

In addition to machining duties, this role includes material handling, maintaining a clean workspace, and operating cranes and forklifts as needed.
