Senior Regulatory Accounting Analyst at NV Energy: A Key Role in Ensuring Compliance and Accurate Financial Reporting.

We are committed to ensuring the highest level of compliance and accuracy in our financial reporting, and we are seeking a skilled Senior Regulatory Accounting Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing regulatory earned rate of return calculations, earnings sharing, and revenue requirements for state and FERC filings.
  • Develop and implement strategies for rate case filings, including normalization studies, cash working capital lead/lag analysis, and testimony management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop recommendations for optimal rate structures and ensure accurate and timely regulatory statements, adjustments, analyses, and supporting testimony.
  • Contribute to pricing and regulatory decisions that impact company policy and revenues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, engineering, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of utility theory, regulatory principles, and quantitative modeling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, time management, verbal and written communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with various modeling, analytical, accounting, monitoring, or reporting software.

  • Estimated annual salary range: $87,600 - $103,100, with up to 12% short-term incentive plan target opportunity.
