Key Responsibilities:

CNC Operations

  • Ensure optimal machine performance, maintaining or exceeding established CNC production rates.
  • Acquire skills in various techniques such as hand trimming, polishing, and component assembly to prepare items for dispatch according to job specifications.
  • Package finished products accurately, affixing appropriate shipping labels and ensuring proper labeling of containers.

Forming Operations

  • Maintain machine operation at or above set forming production standards.
  • Utilize tools like heat guns and sonic gauges to enhance quality and production efficiency, adhering to established forming criteria under general supervision.
  • Detect and rectify defects by comparing produced items with sample standards to eliminate issues such as blemishes, gloss inconsistencies, and warping.

General Duties

  • Log into all assigned jobs accurately.
  • Review the Job Traveler and comply with its specifications.
  • Confirm that the machine has a signed sample and that current parts being processed align with the sample.
  • Evaluate quality as necessary using testing fixtures, measuring tools, and visual assessments.
  • Set up and operate a band saw to trim scrap materials to acceptable dimensions.
  • Accurately count parts and complete Daily Management Boards as required.
  • Ensure all documentation is thorough, precise, and submitted at the end of the shift.
  • Accurately input information into the E2 system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all 5S tools are in place and outdated paperwork is removed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to foster a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Comply with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Exhibit continuous improvement in both quality and productivity.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in Quality Control (QC) is advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations and job specifications.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations.
  • Able to understand a variety of specifications and information presented in written or verbal form.
