- Operate imaging equipment to create images of various areas of the patient's body.
- Monitor patients for unusual reactions to radioactive drugs.
- Process images and maintain detailed records of procedures.
- Follow safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) certification.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Maryland license to practice nuclear medicine.
