This is a full-time opportunity in Indianapolis, IN, where you will work closely with our Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans that promote resident independence and well-being.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct resident care, assisting with tests and evaluations, and maintaining accurate records of treatments and progress.
Responsibilities- Deliver physical therapy treatments to residents in accordance with treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
- Observe, record, and report resident conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
- Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist with admission screening and consultation with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized physical therapy department and equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- A current license or eligibility for licensure under state statutes.
- Experience working with a similar resident population is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to understand and follow directions from the Physical Therapist and facility policies.
