We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering outstanding healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct sonographic procedures on assigned patients using ultrasound diagnostic equipment.
- Obtain and interpret diagnostic images, presenting cases to physicians and other qualified medical professionals.
- Maintain equipment and accessories, reporting problems to Lead Tech and supervisor.
- Explain examination processes to patients, instructing and assisting them throughout procedures.
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, observing sound wave patterns and producing diagnostic images.
- Participate in maintaining records for research cases and evaluating new equipment for potential use.
- ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification.
- Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as they relate to ultrasound diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
