At Omniscius Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to support our federal government customer in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics and experience with computational pipelines and bioinformatics tools.

  • Develop and maintain computational pipelines to analyze sequencing data and create and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Collaborate with our IT staff to expand computing resources and maintain detailed records of experiments and their results.
  • Write reports of findings and interpret, evaluate, and discuss the results of each experiment with our Federal Task Leader.
  • Operate and communicate effectively in a team-oriented working environment and work collaboratively with others in the lab to generate data for publications.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a master's degree in a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-degree work experience in a research laboratory setting is required.
  • Experience with applications such as MS Office and Teams is required.
