Job Overview:
The Control Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the electrical and control systems within the facility. This position is pivotal in executing innovative processes and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all electrical regulations.
  • Oversee all electrical Management of Change (MOC) documentation.
  • Conduct annual inspections and audits of the electrical safety program in accordance with NFPA 70E standards.
  • Guarantee timely completion of all electrical preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to organize and execute automation maintenance and calibration tasks.
  • Assist in the start-up and commissioning of control systems.
  • Strive to optimize and manage automation inventory effectively.
  • Identify and rectify issues with critical electrical systems and programming.
  • Monitor the performance of electrical systems and devices in the facility, including transformers, switchgear, panels, UPS systems, PLCs, power monitoring systems, and instrumentation.
  • Develop and interpret ladder logic and flow diagrams for program design, initiation, simulation, and testing.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interface (HMI) / SCADA systems, communication protocols, and databases (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Create process control flow diagrams.
  • Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Industrial Controls or a related Electrical field.
  • Open to candidates of all experience levels, including recent graduates and entry-level applicants.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards is preferred.
  • Understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical circuitry.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and rotating schedules from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
