About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to obtain high-quality images used for diagnosing and treating various pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce cross-sectional images of the body
  • Prepare and position patients for examinations, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography, or Medical Sonographer
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
